Built for scale

Technology: built for scale

MONTRA is built as a high-load technological infrastructure able to scale together with the volumes of our partners.

What the platform consists of

  • API First

The MONTRA architecture is built around the API and designed for fast integration with digital financial products.

  • Smart Routing

Technological routing of transactions between available payment directions.

  • Transaction Management

Centralised management of the payment transaction lifecycle.

  • Real-Time Status

    Retrieving up-to-date transaction statuses.

  • Reconciliation

Tools for financial reconciliation and transaction control.

  • Monitoring

Technical monitoring of the payment infrastructure and transaction flows.

The boundary of the technology

Every component of the platform works with information about a transaction: it receives, validates and routes that information and returns a status. The movement of funds itself stays with participants in the relevant jurisdictions.

Division of rolesMONTRA provides technological infrastructure: it receives, processes and transmits financial information about transactions. The movement of funds is executed by licensed participants of the payment infrastructure in the relevant jurisdictions. MONTRA does not open accounts, does not hold user funds and does not transfer money on its own account.

JurisdictionsMONTRA is licensed by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic under No. 2069290126 and No. 3071290126. The company has no licences of foreign regulators: in each jurisdiction transactions are carried out by organisations licensed in that jurisdiction. The list of available directions is determined by the agreements in force with participants.
