Get connected

How to get connected

Onboarding takes five steps. Timelines are agreed individually with each partner: they depend on the scope of work and on how ready the documents are.

Five steps

  1. 01

    Request

You fill in the form on this page: company, contact person, contact method and line of business. No documents are needed at this step.

  2. 02

    Review and documents

We check your line of business against the list we onboard, run the AML/CFT checks and issue the list of documents. Documents are submitted through a protected environment.

  3. 03

    Contract

Rates, settlement cycle, refund and dispute procedures are fixed in the contract. The public offer is available before you sign.

  4. 04

    Technical integration

Integration follows the published specification. The API is under development; the sandbox opening date is announced in the Developers section.

  5. 05

    Live access

After test operations you receive live keys and transaction processing is switched on. Reporting and reconciliation start working.

Documents you will need

The exact list is issued after your request is reviewed and depends on your line of business. The full package, with questionnaire templates, opens in the merchant portal once the NDA is signed.

Why the form does not ask for documents

A public form must not become a store of sensitive data. Tax ID, incorporation documents and turnover figures are collected at the second step, inside a protected environment. The form on this page asks for five fields only.

Why you may be refused

A refusal is not a judgement on your business. It usually comes down to the boundaries of our licences, AML/CFT requirements or unconfirmed information. Reading the reasons up front saves both sides time.

The business type is on the list we do not onboard

The list is published openly. We recommend reading it before you apply.

The service falls outside our licences

MONTRA does not open accounts, take deposits or lend; it does not issue electronic money, exchange currency or transfer funds between individuals.

AML/CFT requirements are not met

If the client cannot be identified, or the ownership structure and beneficial owner cannot be established, onboarding is not possible.

The information does not check out

If the stated line of business differs from what your site or point of sale actually does, we refuse. This is a risk-assessment requirement, not nitpicking.

Sales terms are not disclosed

The merchant’s site must state what is sold, the price, the refund terms and contact details. Their absence leads to disputes with payers.

A participating bank’s decision

Funds are moved by the participating banks. A refusal by one of them makes onboarding via the chosen method impossible.

We inform you of the decision on your request. Once the reason is resolved, you are welcome to apply again.

Request

Five fields at the first step. We will ask the rest ourselves.

Once sent, the request arrives at the company mailbox. Nothing is stored on the hosting side.
